Raleigh Recovery Center in Raleigh, NC seeks a Counselor II to provide treatment, counseling, and support to clients recovering from addictions and related mental health issues. The role conducts assessments, leads group and individual sessions, and coordinates care with families and staff.

This onsite position emphasizes documentation, crisis intervention, aftercare planning, and liaison work with insurers and referral sources; requires relevant degree and licensure, plus CPR/de-escalation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 3+ years post-Bachelor experience in addictions or counseling.
• Master’s degree required with 1+ year post-Master experience in addictions, therapy or counseling.
• Degree from an accredited college or university.

Responsabilités

• Conduct client assessments to identify history, current presentation, and treatment needs.
• Lead group sessions, individual or family counseling and document progress.
• Provide client and family education on substance use/psychiatric issues.
• Ensure timely documentation of care, incidents, and treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and aftercare planning.
• Liaise with insurance carriers and referral sources as needed.
• Perform case management to ensure quality, individualized care.
• Conduct educational workshops within the hospital and in the community.
• Coordinate with self-help groups and EAP professionals.
• Evaluate client needs to determine appropriate level of care and referrals.
