Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an experienced onsite Manager of Accounting in Brunswick, GA to own the financial statements, close processes, and controls for a large mill. You will lead a collaborative team, drive transformation, and apply AI-enabled tools to improve accuracy and speed while partnering with operations and the Centers of Excellence.

You will influence the control environment, implement innovative processes, and advance PBM across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Manufacturing accounting experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills.
• Strong communication and business partnering abilities.
• Experience driving process improvements and AI-enabled initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own financial statements, month-end close, and control environment.
• Collaborate with mill and business teams to drive process adherence.
• Apply risk-based accounting policies and controls.
• Implement transformative processes that create value.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools and analytics to improve close and insights.
• Partner with Centers of Excellence and external auditors onsite.
• Drive change with a focus on innovation and problem solving.
• Identify AI use cases to reduce manual work and improve decisions.
• Uphold PBM culture and guiding principles.
