Job summary

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. The role supports day-to-day accounting operations in a collaborative environment and offers outstanding benefits upon conversion.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, strong Excel skills, and QuickBooks experience. This fully onsite position follows a Monday–Friday schedule with typical hours.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• QuickBooks experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Support daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash reporting.
• Assist with general accounting functions.
• Support month-end close and check runs.
• Process payments and investigate discrepancies.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
