Job summary

Pitney Bowes Presort Services seeks an Onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician Trainee in Indianapolis, IN. Second shift 2pm–10:30pm, with a base rate of $26.00/hr plus $1.00/hr shift premium.

You will perform mechanical and electronic repairs on printer and mail sorting equipment, and execute preventative maintenance to keep critical mail processing lines running smoothly. Ideal candidates have at least one year of break/fix mechanical experience, strong problem solving, and comfort with

Qualifications

• Experience trouble-shooting and repairing complex mechanical equipment with at least one year of break/fix mechanical experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Windows PC environment as it pertains to operation of automated equipment preferred.
• Excellent problem solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, establish priorities, and work under deadline pressures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electronic repairs of all equipment including printer and mail sorting equipment.
• Complete preventative maintenance according to Mail Preparation Total Quality Management and vendor operating standards.
• Respond to equipment breakdown or emergency situations with urgency and expediency.
• Utilize inventory, pm schedule and work order systems, and maintains the spare parts/supply inventory.
• Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner.
• Perform all additional duties as required.
