Sibanye-Stillwater is seeking a Furnace Operator in Fairless Hills, PA, to support metal melting operations in a high‑temperature environment. You will operate induction, gas, or electric furnaces, monitor temperatures, and maintain logs to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in furnace, foundry, metal processing, incinerator, boiler, drying oven, or similar industrial machine operations preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Solid math and basic data entry skills required.
• Team oriented with strong communication skills.
• Proven commitment to safety and adherence to operating procedures.
• Reliable transportation required due to limited public transportation access.

Responsibilities

• Operate induction, gas, or electric furnaces used to melt non‑ferrous metals.
• Perform minor equipment maintenance and support routine operational upkeep.
• Record before and after weights of material lots processed through the equipment.
• Review startup checklists to ensure equipment and systems are operating properly.
• Record operational temperatures hourly and maintain accurate logs.
• Monitor the condition of furnaces, boilers, baghouse, and scrubber systems.
• Safely pour molten metal into molds or ingots and prepare samples for laboratory analysis.
• Accurately record production data and enter information into tracking systems.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with procedures.
• Observe equipment during operation to identify irregularities or malfunctions.
• Follow production schedules and support operational and quality targets.
• Assist with general housekeeping and operational support activities as needed.
