Job summary

API Heat Transfer is seeking a Furnace Operator – 2nd Shift at our Franklin, Wisconsin facility. You will operate and monitor aluminum furnace equipment, track temperatures and process parameters, and ensure quality and safety standards are met to keep production flowing.

This role offers stability in a manufacturing environment with opportunities for training and advancement; candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be able to work 2nd shift, and demonstrate reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work 2nd shift consistently.
• Strong attention to safety and quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable attendance and positive teamwork attitude.
• Manufacturing or furnace operation experience is a plus.
• Experience in aluminum or metal manufacturing is a plus.
• Forklift or crane experience (or willingness to be trained) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor aluminum furnace equipment according to work instructions and safety standards.
• Load and unload materials using appropriate material-handling equipment.
• Monitor temperatures, cycle times, and process controls to ensure proper material processing.
• Perform visual inspections and basic quality checks.
• Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Identify and report safety, quality, or equipment issues.
• Work closely with downstream operations including stacking, machine operations, welding, and leak testing.
