Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Drilling Operations Supervisor to oversee onshore drilling activities in the George region. You will lead a drilling crew, manage contractor relationships, and deliver safe, cost-effective operations aligned with exploration and development goals.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Petroleum Engineering and at least 7 years in drilling, including 3 years in supervision. IWCF Level 3+ certification is highly desirable and essential for well control leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in oil and gas drilling operations with 3+ years in supervision.
• Proven leadership and team-management abilities in onshore environments.
• Strong knowledge of drilling fluids, cementing, and well control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all aspects of onshore drilling operations from rig mobilization to well completion.
• Ensure adherence to HSSE policies and procedures.
• Plan rig scheduling, equipment, materials, and personnel requirements.
• Monitor performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage contractor relationships and ensure service targets are met.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote safety culture.
