Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in English or related field.
• Superb written communication skills.
• Three to five years of relevant experience in composition writing instruction or writing center work.
• Expertise in APA style (7th edition).
• Competence in online writing center pedagogy for undergrad and grad students; iterative feedback.
• Experience with adult, multilingual, neurodiverse, and online learners.
• Ability to tailor feedback by draft quality and stage of writing.
• Experience or publications in providing positive, constructive feedback to diverse writers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency with ScreenPal or similar for screencasts and video feedback.

Responsibilities

• Provide formative writing instruction and feedback to online undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students.
• Create and deliver live and asynchronous writing instruction using tools like Word, ScreenPal, and Zoom.
• Review student papers for content, organization, and APA style adherence; address formatting.
• Respond to student inquiries about writing, research, and publishing.
