Job summary

Team Cymru is hiring a Product Marketing Writer to bridge Product and GTM. You’ll translate complex product strategy and market insights into clear materials that power launches, sales enablement, web content, and analyst relations.

Collaborate with Product and Marketing leadership to capture what's changing, what's next, and what is committed. You’ll develop overviews, use-case briefs, competitive guidance, technical explainers, and internal training materials.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in product marketing, solutions marketing, product management, technical marketing, or related roles.
• Experience in cybersecurity, enterprise infrastructure, data platforms, or B2B tech is preferred.
• Exceptional writing and editorial skills, able to translate complex conversations into clear material.
• Ability to turn complex products into polished market-facing content.
• A portfolio of launch materials, sales enablement, product narratives, or web content.
• Proficiency with AI tools and critical thinking.
• Strong ownership and a shipping mindset.
• Know-how in threat intelligence, telemetry, or security ops concepts.
• Experience supporting industry analyst relations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, CS, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop solution overviews, use-case briefs, competitive guidance, technical explainers, and internal training materials

• Build a product marketing source of truth covering narrative, capabilities, use cases, differentiation, and proofs
• Write product and website copy, customer communications, partner materials, and campaign source material

• Write for security practitioners, sellers, CISOs, analysts, executives, customers, and partners
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Sales, SRE, Customer Success, Communications, and Revenue Ops
• Co-develop written materials with Marketing leadership for analyst relations
• Reduce translation workload for Product leaders

We’re looking for a Product Marketing Writer to serve as the bridge between Product and our go-to-market organization. You’ll turn product strategy, roadmap progress, technical capabilities, and market insight into clear, compelling materials that help our field and our market understand what we do, what is changing, and why it matters. Your work will power our launches, sales enablement, web content, and analyst relationships, connecting detailed product content with our broader brand story. This role suits an exceptional writer and synthesizer who can absorb complex information quickly, create structure where there is ambiguity, and ship polished work.

Partner with Product and Marketing leadership to understand what exists today, what is changing, what is coming next, and what is committed versus directional

Develop solution overviews, use‑case briefs, competitive guidance, technical explainers, and internal training materials

Use modern generative design tools to produce visuals for enablement packages and collaborate with in‑house or contract designers

Messaging & Content

Build and maintain a product marketing source of truth covering platform narrative, product capabilities, priority use cases, technical differentiation, competitive positioning, and proof points

Write product and website copy, customer communications, partner materials, and campaign source material

Package capabilities across the portfolio to show how telemetry, APIs, integrations, AI tooling, and data products work together to solve customer problems

Write effectively for security practitioners, sellers, CISOs, analysts, executives, customers, and partners

Partner across Product, Marketing, Sales, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Communications, and Revenue Operations to ensure the organization is ready when something reaches the market

Co‑de‑develop written materials with Marketing leadership to support external industry analyst relationships

Reduce the amount of translation Product leaders must personally perform for the field

• 7+ years of experience in product marketing, solutions marketing, product management, technical marketing, or another product-to-market role
• Experience in cybersecurity, enterprise infrastructure, data platforms, developer products, or another technically complex B2B category strongly preferred
• Exceptional writing and editorial skills, with the ability to turn an hour of complex conversation into three pages of clarity
• Demonstrated ability to take complicated products or concepts and turn them into clear, polished market‑facing materials
• A portfolio of substantive work, such as launch materials, sales enablement, product narratives, solution briefs, presentations, web content, or messaging frameworks
• Proficiency with AI tools, without outsourcing taste, judgment, or critical thinking
• Strong project ownership and an instinct to ship
• Sound judgment in distinguishing between established capabilities, directional plans, supportable claims, and messaging that requires qualification
• Working knowledge of threat intelligence, network telemetry, or security operations concepts
• Experience developing materials in support of industry analyst relations
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Computer Science, or equivalent experience (preferred)

Travel

Occasional travel for company meetings, industry events, or customer engagements may be required.
