Job summary

CALIFORNIA VIRTUAL ACADEMY AT LOS ANGELES is seeking a Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Teacher for a virtual, home-based teaching model. The role requires California residency, a valid teaching credential, and strong communication and organizational skills.

The teacher will deliver standards-based instruction online and in-person when needed, manage Circle Time sessions, track progress, and collaborate with families and staff to support student growth throughout the school year.

Qualifications

• California resident and eligible to work in the state.
• Bachelor's degree with strong subject-matter knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with online instruction and virtual learning platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver TK curriculum online and in person.
• Lead daily Circle Time and provide instruction online.
• Assess student progress and communicate with families.
• Maintain attendance, data, and state reporting.
• Support students and families with placement and logistics.
• Travel within geographic area as needed.
