Free the Slaves is seeking a technical consultant to design an online version of its community liberation modules and support its shift to digital delivery. The assignment emphasizes accessible, engaging online content and practical training practices that resonate with diverse audiences.
The consultancy spans 20–25 days, focusing on material adaptation, interactive online formats, and sharing innovative tools for effective virtual trainings and capacity building.
Free the Slaves has developed three (3) training modules - Module 1 - Educating and Mobilizing Vulnerable Communities, Module 2 - Survivor Liberation, Care and Reintegration, and Module 3 - Rule of Law and in the process of completing the fourth module - Ensuring Access to Essential Social and Economic Services . As part of its new strategic direction, FTS is shifting its training and capacity building work to an online platform. FTS has developed an online version content of the modules but there has been some challenges in executing practically. In addition, trainers and trainees are not able to follow carefully while training delivery is ongoing - content sequencing is not well coordinated in the online version that was developed. Also, some sessions are unrealistically long, as well as the trainer not able to conduct or implement some instructions virtually. For example, the use of flip chat, participant having a gallery walk, "packing lot" for burning questions etc. The technical consultant will play a critical role in designing the online version for FTS community liberation modules (toolkit) and supporting FTS in its organizational adaptation to expanding its online work and strategy.
FTS anticipated duration for this consultancy would be 20 days minimum and 25 days maximum.
Free the Slaves is an equal-opportunity organization. Qualified applicants are considered for consultancies without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, disability or veteran status.
