Rather than relying on traditional textbooks, instructors use ACTFL Can-Do Statements and real-world communication contexts to guide instruction. Courses emphasize Project-Based Learning, meaningful communication, and authentic language use. Students are not assessed through traditional assessments; instead, instructors facilitate engaging learning experiences using a variety of digital tools and authentic resources and evaluate student growth through projects, participation, and performance-based assessments. While LanguageBird provides syllabi and some instructional guidance and resources, instructors are encouraged to bring creativity, professional expertise, and instructional flexibility to their lessons to meet the unique needs of each learner.
Instructors onboarded for the 2026-2027 school year may begin teaching prior to the official start of the school year.
