Job summary

Touro University Graduate School of Social Work seeks a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor to teach online in multiple modalities (synchronous Zoom and asynchronous formats). Responsibilities include teaching, advising, and service, with a 21-credit workload across teaching, scholarship, and program activities.

Ideal candidates have a defined area of research and social work practice expertise; association with CSWE accreditation is a plus.

Qualifications

• MSW degree and a related doctorate; PhD/DSW preferred.
• 3–5 years graduate-level teaching experience required.
• Experience with HBSE and clinical courses is preferred.
• Evidence of research and scholarly activities.

Responsibilities

• Teach online with asynchronous and synchronous Zoom courses.
• Engage in service to department, university and research/scholarship.
• Provide academic advising for distance education students.
• Participate in standing and ad-hoc committees.
• Contribute to program events, orientation and graduation.
• Build and support community relations; work hours are expected to be highly engaged.
