Job summary

The Touro University Graduate School of Social Work is seeking a full-time (10-month), on-site Assistant/Associate Professor in Social Work. The successful candidate will teach face-to-face, synchronous, and asynchronous online formats, with responsibilities spanning teaching, advising, and committee work.

Ideal candidates will have a defined area of research and a social work practice expertise. Associate-level candidates should demonstrate a sustained scholarly record and knowledge of CSWE

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work degree and a Doctorate in a related field of study required; a Ph.D. in Social Work or a DSW degree is preferred.
• Social work licensure preferred.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of graduate-level teaching experience required.
• Experience teaching HBSE, clinical courses preferred.
• Evidence of research and scholarly activities.
• Instructional course design experience.
• Student advising experience.
• Experience with clinical simulation technology and AI experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teaching in-person (Manhattan, Brooklyn) and asynchronous/synchronous courses according to workload assignments.
• Service to the Department, University, and Community Research/Scholarship, including publication and conferences.
• Academic advising for students in traditional, on-campus and online programs.
• Participate in standing and ad-hoc committees.
• Participate in program events, such as orientation and graduation.
• Build, strengthen, and support community relations.
• Highly engaged and responsive during stipulated work hours.
