Job summary

Wingate University is seeking a part-time Social Studies Education Adjunct Faculty to teach primarily online, with asynchronous delivery and some live evening Zoom sessions. The role focuses on preparing graduate students in teacher education to apply evidence-based practices in education.

Ideal candidates hold a master's degree in History or Social Studies with K-12 and college teaching experience, and have familiarity with Canvas LMS and e-learning tools like Zoom, Snagit, Camtasia.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in History or Social Studies and teaching experience at K-12 and college levels.
• Experience with Canvas LMS and content development tools such as Zoom, Snagit, Camtasia and other e-learning tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare graduate students in teacher education to become effective practitioners and researchers in education.
• Provide clear, timely, and specific communication and feedback to students.
• Hold regular, predictable virtual office hours.
