Job summary

Wingate University in North Carolina is seeking a part-time adjunct teacher for the Thayer School of Education. The position is primarily asynchronous online with some live evening Zoom instruction.

The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree or higher in History or Social Studies and experience teaching at both K-12 and college levels. Proficiency with Canvas, Zoom, Snagit, and Camtasia is preferred. The role offers a flexible schedule and the chance to contribute to graduate education.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates will have a master’s degree or higher in History/Social Studies and both K-12 and college teaching experience.
• Experience with Canvas LMS and content development tools such as Zoom, Snagit, Camtasia is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare graduate students in teacher education programs to become effective practitioners and researchers.
• Provide students with clear, timely communication and feedback.
• Hold regular virtual office hours and align with the university mission and strategic roadmap.
• Other duties as assigned.
