Job summary

ShopRite of Emerson is hiring an Online Shopping Clerk to fulfill customer orders placed at the ShopRite website. You will select perishable and non‑perishable items, bag and prepare totes, and ensure accurate billing and safe handoff to customers.

The role requires friendly, helpful interactions with shoppers and accurate handling of payments. Based in Emerson, NJ, this position supports the Online Shopping department and reports to the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Take online orders from the ShopRite website and select ordered items.
• Bag orders, pack in totes, and prepare for customer pickup or delivery.
• Process payments and handle cash or electronic transactions.
• Communicate any order issues to customers and coordinate pickup or delivery.
