Careers: Online School Grader, Teaching Assistant, Moderator (General Interest)

AoPS Online offers rigorous, high-quality math curriculum and online STEM classes for middle and high school students, helping them deepen their mathematical thinking. We also provide specialty courses for math and science competitions, including math, Python, chemistry, and physics. For more information and a full list of offerings, please see our course catalog.

These online positions are excellent for developing mentoring skills and earning money remotely in a flexible and convenient manner. You can choose to perform any of the following tasks:

  1. Grader: Provide guidance and personalized feedback on student work, which can be done at any time.
  2. Message Board Moderator (Helper): Guide students on message boards by providing hints and encouragement during homework questions, scheduled throughout the workday.
  3. Assistant: Support students during live classes by answering questions in real time. Classes run from 7:20 - 9:00 pm ET (4:20 - 6:00 pm PT) using text and LaTeX, with no video or audio.

Details:

  • Starting pay rate is $18 per hour, with opportunities for promotion.
  • Positions are highly flexible and can be performed from anywhere with a stable internet connection.
  • This is a great opportunity to develop mentoring skills while working with motivated students.
