ONLINE PROGRAM ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST Grade 12

VSC UP – PAT Bargaining Unit Exempt

BASIC FUNCTION

Online Program Enrollment Specialists primarily recruit, evaluate, admit, and enroll qualified applicants to Vermont State University’s online programs.

Characteristic Duties & Responsibilities
  • Disseminate informational materials to prospective students via appropriate communications/presentations both virtually and digitally.
  • Conduct outreach, respond to inquiries, and input contact information into CRM, following communication plans.
  • Review applications and transcripts, evaluate transfer credits, interview prospective students, and provide advisement.
  • Manage assigned student populations and develop recruitment relationships through events and outreach.
  • Assist in planning and evaluating online outreach events like virtual open houses and regional events.
  • Support travel recruitment efforts including college fairs and high school visits.
  • Collaborate with campus partners to support enrollment initiatives.
  • Work with operations, academic departments, and leadership to ensure a smooth applicant-to-student transition.
  • Stay informed on Vermont State University programs, policies, and procedures.
Supervision Received

General supervision from the Associate Director of Admissions/Team Lead.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in student personnel services or related field, plus 1-3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge of admissions operations; VSC experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, planning, organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively engage with diverse populations and promote inclusivity.
  • Proficiency with web-based CRM systems, preferably Slate.

Remote or any VTSU location.
