Job summary

ShopRite of Route 35 & 18th Ave in Belmar, NJ is hiring an Online Shopping Clerk to take customer orders from the ShopRite website, select items, bag and transport them to customers, and complete payments at pickup or delivery. The role requires strong English, basic math, physical stamina, and friendly customer service.

The position offers benefits through the ShopRite union contract and requires the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking English and basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for scheduled shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products and tolerate dust/chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Select products accurately from multiple departments; substitute items when needed.
• Consolidate and bag orders, prepare totes, and ensure proper storage for delivery or pickup.
• Process payments (cash, credit, EBT, coupons, etc.) and handle change and receipts.
• Perform general department duties and maintain safety, cleanliness, and QA standards.
