Northern Illinois University’s School of Clinical and Developmental Sciences in the College of Health and Human Sciences invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, Associate Professor or Professor to serve as the inaugural Master of Social Work (MSW) Program Director and provide visionary leadership to develop the MSW program and navigate initial accreditation with CSWE.

• Experience leading MSW program accreditation processes.
• Experience in curriculum development and program assessment.
• Ability to secure partnerships with state boards and agencies.
• Teaching, scholarship and service aligned with university mission.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the MSW program and navigate CSWE accreditation.
• Oversee curriculum design and assessment.
• Manage budget and staffing for the MSW program.
• Lead marketing, recruitment, and field placements.
• Engage in teaching, scholarship, and service to NIU.
• Build partnerships with community organizations and agencies.
