Job summary
Northern Kentucky University's Department of Nursing invites applications for online adjunct faculty positions for the CCNE accredited MSN program. Faculty responsibilities include teaching in online didactic courses; courses run in 7-week sessions.
Faculty may teach in the core MSN courses as well as the specialty tracks within the MSN program based on degree and experience. Tracks include Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Psych/Mental Health Nurse
Qualifications
- Teaching experience in nursing is desirable.
- Experience related to specific tracks within the MSN program is necessary.
- Must possess a valid nursing license in the state of residence.
- A valid, unencumbered Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner license in the state of residence is required to teach in the nurse practitioner tracks.
- Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner applicants must be board-certified in their specialty area.
Responsibilities
- Teach online didactic courses.
- Courses run in 7-week sessions.
- Teach core MSN courses as well as MSN tracks based on degree and experience.
- Contribute to curriculum development as needed.
