Job summary

Wingate University is seeking qualified adjunct instructors to teach online undergraduate mathematics courses. It is part of the Wingate Online program, delivering high-quality education to a diverse student population.

Instructors are expected to maintain academic standards and professional conduct consistent with the university's mission. Adjunct faculty will facilitate online courses, provide timely feedback, and support student success in a virtual format.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Mathematics or a closely related field is required; a bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience may be considered.
Experience with online instruction and familiarity with LMS platforms (Canvas).
Prior college-level teaching preferred.
Demonstrated commitment to serving diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

Facilitate engaging, well-organized online courses in accordance with the course syllabus and Wingate Online guidelines.
Maintain a visible, responsive presence in the learning management system (LMS), including timely feedback on assignments and regular communication with students.
Post and adhere to grading turnaround times as established by the Office of Online Education.
Hold virtual office hours or provide equivalent availability for student support.
Uphold academic integrity policies and report violations as required.
Participate in required faculty orientations, trainings.
