Job summary

Success Virtual Learning Centers of Michigan is recruiting a full-time teacher to deliver and monitor high-quality virtual instruction statewide, while maintaining a presence at the instructional center. The role requires Michigan teaching certification and strong communication for online and in-person channels.

Qualifications

• State of Michigan Secondary Education Teacher certification is required.
• Ability to motivate all students to succeed in coursework.
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with students.
• Strong customer service leadership for students, families, and community.
• Use technology effectively in instructional and operational settings.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage tasks timely.
• Excellent English and grammar, proofreading, oral and written communication skills.
• Online teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and monitor high-quality virtual education instruction statewide.
• Maintain a physical presence at the designated instructional center.
• Adapt teaching for diverse learning styles in a virtual environment.
• Collaborate via PLCs with teammates across the state to enhance student experience.
• Monitor data to meet district goals and standards per the school improvement plan.
• Grade all assignments per grading policy; some work may occur outside standard hours.
• Mentor students through LMS and online/in-person communication channels.
• Engage families and document weekly communications; use Google Suite for collaboration.
• Participate in center duties and family engagement opportunities.
• Participate in professional development; travel may be required for in-person sessions.
