Job summary

Joliet Junior College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor, Library Technical Assistant to teach online courses for one or more subjects in the Library Department. The role is part‑time and compensated on a per‑contact‑hour basis, with placement on the salary schedule dependent on qualifications.

Reporting to the Department Chair, the adjunct will deliver quality instruction, collaborate with full‑time faculty, and adhere to all course guidelines while participating in evaluations and curricular

Qualifications

Master's in Library and/or Information Science from an ALA accredited program.
Experience with technologies for instruction.
Commitment to teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

Teach classes in appropriate instructional area.
Participate in annual student and chair/coordinator evaluations.
Demonstrate a commitment to current and emerging technologies in the classroom.
Comply with curriculum, grading standards, attendance policies, and assessments.
Attend classes regularly and communicate with staff and chair in a timely manner.
Comply with FERPA, ADA and other regulations and report discrepancies.
Support the college mission and core values.
Meet other contractual obligations per adjunct faculty contract.
