Job summary

Joliet Junior College seeks an Adjunct Instructor for Library Technical Assistant duties, delivering online courses to a diverse student body. The role reports to the Department Chair and aligns with the adjunct contract terms.

Responsibilities include teaching, participating in evaluations, and integrating current instructional technologies to support student success in a virtual environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Library and/or Information Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Minimum three years of professional library experience.
• Demonstrated expertise with technologies for instruction.
• Commitment to teaching and learning.
• Ability to work cooperatively with diverse college/community members, showing cultural competence and EI.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes in the designated instructional area.
• Participate in annual evaluations of students and chair/coordinator.
