Job summary

University of Texas at Austin is seeking a UT High School Teacher - Math to deliver high‑quality online and hybrid instruction for grades 9–12. The role emphasizes TEKS-aligned content, proactive communication with families, and ongoing progress monitoring in a MTSS framework.

The teacher will support AP coursework where applicable, provide technical guidance for LMS navigation, and contribute to student readiness for standardized assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, mathematics or closely related field with two years of secondary teaching experience.
• Texas Teacher Certification in Mathematics 7-12 and two years of experience in Texas public schools recommended.
• Experience designing instruction and assessments for high school mathematics.
• Familiarity with TEKS, STAAR expectations, and online instruction best practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver TEKS-aligned instruction in high school mathematics using online platforms (Canvas, Skyward, Box).
• Provide timely feedback and maintain accurate records of student performance.
• Develop live and asynchronous instruction; support college readiness and AP coursework where applicable.
• Collaborate with MTSS teams to implement intervention strategies and support plans.
• Communicate regularly with students and guardians about progress and expectations.
• Proctor assessments and ensure compliance with testing policies.
