University of Texas at Austin’s UT High School is recruiting a Secondary Online Teacher in Science for grades 9–12. The role focuses on delivering high-quality virtual instruction with MTSS-driven support and college-readiness guidance within a dynamic, online learning environment.

You will collaborate with MTSS teams, provide AP or dual credit opportunities where applicable, and ensure timely feedback and data-driven progress monitoring for students’ success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and Texas Teacher Certification in Science 7-12.
• At least two years of experience teaching secondary science in Texas public schools.
• Strong knowledge of TEKS, STAAR, and related instructional practices.
• Experience with online instruction and Canvas LMS.

Responsabilités

• Deliver TEKS-aligned instruction using the district’s online platforms (Canvas, Skyward, Box).
• Demonstrate content expertise and familiarity with AP/dual credit standards where applicable.
• Maintain a positive virtual classroom environment and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
• Develop and deliver live and asynchronous instruction using LMS tools.
• Create a classroom culture that promotes participation and collaboration in a virtual setting.
• Provide Canvas navigation support and technical assistance.
