Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; teaching license preferred.
• Virginia licensure preferred; able to attend in-person PDs and events.
• Experience teaching online or in a classroom.
• Experience with online learning platforms and data-driven instruction.
• Strong Excel/Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Augments course content according to prescribed policies and procedures using asynchronous and synchronous tools under guidance from principal and coach.
• Maintains grade book, ensures student academic integrity, makes placement and promotion decisions, and alerts admins to concerns about progress.
• Supports learning coaches/parents with curricular issues and basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom environment per academy policies.
• Travels as required (on average once per month and/or ~20% of the time) for face-to-face professional development and testing.
