Job summary

ACCEL Schools’ Virtual Preparatory Academy of Oklahoma seeks dedicated online teachers of record to deliver live lessons, monitor progress, and maintain engaging, culturally responsive classrooms for K-12 students across Oklahoma.

The role requires state licensure, knowledge of standards, and the ability to collaborate with the principal, families, and colleagues; travel for state testing and events is required several times per year.

Qualifications

• State teaching license and content-area eligibility are required.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience teaching in K-12 online environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as teacher of record and primary instructor.
• Deliver live lessons via web conference based on student need.
• Monitor progress and provide daily feedback/grades.
• Track and maintain contact with each student.
• Collaborate with Principal to deliver Progress Reports.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth.
• Travel for in-person state testing and events several times per year.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
