Job description

Select and gather products for customers' online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality. Assemble customers' online orders, process coupons and payments, and deliver and load orders into cars when customers arrive at the store for pickup. Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages repeat online shopping. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk, functioning as an In-Store Grocery Shopper, is responsible for selecting and gathering products for customers' online orders efficiently, ensuring freshness and quality.
2. Initiate and complete the selection process for customers' online orders.
3. Assemble orders, process coupons and payments, and deliver and load orders into customers' cars upon arrival for pickup.
4. Scan and bag orders following all standards while on the move.
5. Communicate any substitutions or exceptions to customers at the time of pickup.
6. Meet or exceed customer expectations regarding shopping ease, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
7. Adhere to all relevant laws, food safety procedures, and company policies.
8. Receive and store customer orders from the Order Selector, maintaining proper temperature zones.
9. Follow instructions provided in notes.
10. Ensure the quality and freshness of all selected items.
11. Communicate professionally with customers via portable phone and respond promptly to calls.
12. Ensure order accuracy, retrieve orders from staging, and load into customers' vehicles.
13. Provide a positive customer service experience that fosters repeat business.
14. Process orders through the POS system.
15. Determine appropriate substitutions for out-of-stock items according to policies.
16. Maintain organization and cleanliness in staging areas and with equipment.
17. Report discrepancies in pricing, scanning, item location, or temperature to the supervisor.
18. Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
19. Perform opening and closing procedures as required.
20. Assist in training new team members.
21. Meet or exceed productivity standards.
22. Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
23. Manage conflicts reasonably and cooperatively.
24. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
25. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
26. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
27. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Ability to read shelf tags.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).

Desired Previous Experience:

• Experience as a personal shopper, in a warehouse or production environment, stocking shelves, or as a cashier.
