Sacred Heart University’s Davis & Henley College of Nursing (DHCON) invites applications for a 12-month visiting faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, with primary teaching responsibilities in the online Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN-FNP) program and post-master’s certificate programs, including the Post-MSN Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate.

This remote appointment allows you to bring your FNP clinical experience into graduate nursing education with teaching

Qualifications

Earned doctorate in nursing.
Current RN and APRN licensure.
National board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP); PMHNP certification preferred.
At least two years of FNP experience and current FNP clinical practice.
Previous online graduate teaching experience.
Evidence of scholarship.
Leadership experience in curriculum development and program administration preferred.

Responsibilities

Teach in the online FNP program and post-master’s certificate programs.
Develop and continuously improve courses and curricula, including assessment of student learning.
Provide student advising each semester.
Maintain current FNP clinical practice.
Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative academic environment upholding standards.
Travel to campus at least twice per year and as requested by chair.
