Job summary

ECPI University seeks an adjunct English faculty member to deliver practical hands-on instruction through Canvas LMS in a dynamic online setting. Candidates should bring real industry experience and be available evenings and weekends to support adult learners.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in English (or equivalent with 18 graduate hours) and 3–5 years of relevant industry work, with 2 years online teaching experience preferred. Canvas LMS proficiency is desirable.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in English or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline from a regionally accredited educational institution.
• 3-5 years industry experience required; 10-15 years career industry experience preferred; industry experience within the last 5 years.
• 2 years online teaching/curriculum experience, and strong online webinar presentation skills a plus.
• Canvas LMS experience preferred; ability to teach in a 5-week accelerated environment and support online learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical hands‑on instruction through Canvas LMS in an engaging online learning environment.
• Teach one live session each week and hold one live office hour per week via Zoom.
• Support busy adult learners, available evenings and weekends.
• Troubleshoot software or technical concerns for students and be the first point of contact.
• Deliver instruction that aligns with learning outcomes and industry relevance.
