Job summary

Southcentral KY Community & Technical College seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) courses, focusing on 2D/3D design and industry-standard software. The instructor will develop syllabi, deliver engaging CAD instruction, and assess student progress in a supportive learning environment.

The position requires an associate degree and at least 3 years of CAD experience, with familiarity of LMS tools (e.g., Blackboard).

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Architecture, Manufacturing Technology, or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD), including 2D and 3D design applications.
• Provide instruction in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, Inventor, Civil 3D, or similar programs.
• Develop and/or follow established course syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials
• Assess student learning through assignments, exams, and practical evaluations
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper use of equipment
• Participate in departmental meetings and training as required
