ACCEL Schools is seeking a Virtual Assistant Principal for Gateway Online Academy of Ohio. The role focuses on leading a caring, inclusive school culture while guiding behavior, academics, and professional development for staff.

The position requires Ohio licensure for principals and teachers and substantial experience in school leadership. As part of a national network, the assistant principal will partner with administrators, teachers, and families to ensure strong instructional practices,

Qualifications

• Current valid Principal and Teacher license in the state of Ohio.
• Bachelor's degree in education or related discipline.
• Minimum seven years of experience in education or related field.
• Two or more years of experience in successful school administration/instructional leadership.
• Knowledge of state academic content standards.
• Demonstrated ability to create inclusive environments and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cultivating a caring, supportive, and inclusive school community.
• Partners with teachers, administrators, parents, and students to ensure academic excellence and accountability.
• Provide coaching and professional development in effective classroom management strategies.
• Collaborate with staff and families to improve student behavior, attendance, and engagement.

• Formulate and administer a comprehensive program of Career and Technical Education.
