Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking an Online Division Admissions Counselor in Phoenix, AZ to be the first contact for prospective online students. You will guide candidates through admissions steps, clarify program requirements, transfer credits, payment options, and technology needs while supporting student decisions.

Starting salary is $50,000 per year with a tenure-based compensation plan that includes annual increases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or 5 years of related experience with at least 60 college credits.
• Proficient with the Internet and Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Self-motivated and passionate with determination to provide exceptional service.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and confident phone presence.
• Cannot be delinquent or in default on a federal student loan; if in rehab, must be current.
• Support University Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with new and prospective online students over the phone, email and occasionally in person.
• Guides prospective students through admissions processes including requirements, transfer credits, payment options, time commitment, technology requirements and student support services.
• Introduces new students to the online classroom.
• Works with a team to ensure student success.
• Keeps accurate records of student information observing confidentiality.
