Adjunct Faculty (non‑tenure track, Adjunct APT, temporary)

Job Summary

Adjunct faculty members are employed to provide specific courses on an as‑needed basis. Contracts for adjunct faculty members are issued on a semester/term basis. Adjunct Instructors hold the responsibility for the management of courses taught and are expected to be available for a reasonable amount of time for each course taught to counsel students regarding course work.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in the teaching discipline, or Master’s Degree with a concentration (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours or 30 graduate quarter hours) in the teaching discipline from a regionally accredited institution (for undergraduate positions).
• Terminal degree in the teaching discipline from a regionally accredited institution (for graduate positions).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous online teaching experience with Blackboard learning management system.
• Teaching experience in a traditional classroom environment.
• Prior professional experience in the field or a related field.

Class schedule and office hours will vary per term.
