Tarleton State University invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor in the Division of Child Development and Family Studies. This role supports our growing student enrollment for the 2025-2026 Academic Year, delivering instruction across Family Life Education, Child Life, and Early Childhood Education.

Successful candidates will teach up to six semester credit hours, hold office hours, and provide student support.

Qualifications

Master's degree in the discipline or a closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Child/Human Development and/or Family Studies/Sciences.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, seminars, and/or labs to undergraduate/graduate students.
Develop course syllabi, select instructional materials, and design assessments.
Assess student performance and provide timely feedback to inform teaching and curriculum improvements.
Engage students through active learning, discussion, and hands-on activities.
Provide academic support through office hours and mentoring.
Adhere to university policies and accreditation requirements; uphold academic integrity.
Incorporate innovative teaching methods and technologies to enhance student learning.
