Job summary

Southeast Community College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor for Adult Education – ABE/ASE (2026–2027) in Lincoln, NE. The part-time, temporary position focuses on helping adults reach GED credentials and prepare for career advancement through targeted instruction and assessments.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and instructional experience; duties include online instruction, student support, PD, and documentation. Local responsibilities may vary and require in-person work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Instructional experience.
• Training and experience teaching secondary and/or developmental math and language arts.

Responsibilities

• Provide online program expectations to all students for Zoom sessions.
• Develop individualized support and educational plans based on assessments and goals.
• Support students with advice regarding studies and learning.
• Maintain records and participate in retention efforts; track attendance.
• Arrange or proctor post-testing including CASAS assessments.
• Support GED® preparation, including scheduling assessments and vouchers.
• Instruct and support math and reading needs at K-12 level as required.
• Maintain at least 8 hours of annual PD and attend program meetings.
• Foster a culture of belonging for students, faculty, and staff.
