Job summary

Cowley County Community College is seeking an Adult Education Instructor (Adjunct) to coordinate and facilitate the ABE/GED evening class at one of the public library sites in Howard, Sedan, or Anthony. The position is grant funded and paid per semester, with classes scheduled two evenings per week.

The role requires organizing curriculum, delivering instruction, collecting data, and collaborating with library staff to meet community needs.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating adult education or GED programs is preferred.
• Ability to deliver evening instruction and manage multiple locations.
• Strong communication and data reporting skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate the ABE/GED evening class curriculum at one of three library sites.
• Provide direct instruction of basic academic skills to adult students.
• Collect data and report progress and outcomes to the program director.
• Work with library staff and area agencies to align program services.
• Plan weekly class schedules and develop weekly student work assignments.
• Attend staff meetings and pursue credentialing and professional development.
