Job summary

Nova Southeastern University seeks adjunct faculty to teach graduate and doctoral-level courses for NSU. The Halmos College of Arts and Sciences and Guy Harvey Oceanographic Research Center (HCAS) recruit faculty for online instruction and dissertation mentorship.

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to teach effectively in an online learning environment and to use LMS, videoconferencing, email, and other instructional technologies.
Ability to connect theory, research, and practice in the classroom and mentor doctoral students.
Strong written, oral, interpersonal, organizational, and instructional technology skills.
Ability to work with students from diverse academic and professional backgrounds.

Responsibilities

Teach assigned graduate and doctoral-level courses online in accordance with program requirements.
Prepare and submit course syllabi by deadlines.
Maintain regular communication with students and the program supervisor.
Provide timely feedback on assignments and progress.
Submit grades and other required documentation by deadlines.
Maintain appropriate course records and provide to the supervisor as requested.
