Nova Southeastern University (NSU) seeks adjunct faculty to teach for the Halmos College of Arts and Sciences and Guy Harvey Oceanographic Research Center across Main Campus, Oceanographic Campus, Regional Campuses, and Online.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree required; advanced degree with at least 18 SACS-approved graduate hours in engineering.
  • Ability to use a computer and check email within 48 hours of receipt.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assigned courses in a professional manner and on time.
  • Communicate with students and supervisor in a timely and professional manner.
  • Report grades and progress in the required university format.
  • Explain course outcomes and final grades to students.
  • Provide copies of student work and grades to the supervisor when requested.
  • Complete syllabi before required deadlines.

Primary Purpose:

The Halmos College of Arts and Sciences and Guy Harvey Oceanographic Research Center
(HCAS) of Nova Southeast University (NSU) is seeking adjunct faculty to teach for NSU.
Teaching opportunities are available at our Main Campus, Oceanographic Campus, Regional Campuses, and Online.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. 1. Conduct the assigned courses in a professional manner and being on time.
  2. 2. Communicate with students and supervisor in a professional and timely manner.
  3. 3. Report all grades, progress reports, etc. in a timely manner and in the format required by the university.
  4. 4. Communicate with students the outcomes of their assessments and final grades.
  5. 5. Provide copies of student work and grades to the supervisor when requested.
  6. 6. Complete syllabi before required deadlines.
Job Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  1. 1. Advanced engineering degree (master's degree or beyond) or possesses an advanced degree (master's degree or beyond) in any field with at least 18 credit hours of SACS approved coursework in engineering at the graduate level.
  2. 2. Ability to use a computer and check email and answer an email from a student or from the supervisor within 48 hours.
