Position Overview

We are seeking an experiencedOneStream Solutions Consultantto bridge the gap between Finance and IT by designing, configuring, integrating, and supporting enterprise financial planning and performance management solutions.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the OneStream platform, combined with a strong understanding of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), financial consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. This role requires both functional and technical expertise to deliver scalable solutions, streamline financial processes, and improve reporting accuracy.

The consultant will work closely with Finance, Accounting, SAP, Infrastructure, and other technical teams throughout implementation, testing, deployment, and post-production support.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and Reporting teams.
• Design and configure OneStream solutions for financial consolidation, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Support account reconciliations, cash flow reporting, management reporting, and intercompany accounting processes.
• Maintain financial metadata and support month-end close and financial reporting activities.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and effective OneStream solutions.
• Provide user training, documentation, and guidance on financial processes and system functionality.

Technical Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain OneStream workflows, application settings, and business rules.
• Develop and support Data Management processes, Data Quality rules, and transformation rules.
• Build and maintain Cube Views, dashboards, and financial reporting components.
• Develop and maintain XF Business Rules using VB.NET.
• Manage data integrations with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, data warehouses, flat files, REST APIs, and OData services.
• Troubleshoot data discrepancies, integration failures, and application performance issues.
• Support OneStream security roles, access controls, and governance requirements.
• Maintain reporting and drill-back capabilities to support financial analysis and data validation.

Project Delivery and Support

• Participate in solution design workshops and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.
• Lead or support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and deployment activities.
• Coordinate with Finance, SAP, Infrastructure, and vendor teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
• Support production deployments, post-production stabilization, and ongoing application maintenance.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, automate workflows, and enhance system performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

OneStream Expertise

• Hands-on experience with OneStream platform administration and application configuration.
• Experience with Data Management, workflow configuration, and data integration.
• Proficiency in Cube View and dashboard development.
• Experience developing and maintaining business rules using VB.NET.
• Knowledge of security configuration, financial reporting, and drill-back capabilities.
• Ability to troubleshoot OneStream application, data, and performance issues.

Finance and Accounting

• Strong understanding of financial consolidation and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A).
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, actuals reporting, and management reporting.
• Knowledge of intercompany accounting and cash flow reporting.
• Understanding of month-end close and enterprise financial reporting processes.
• Ability to translate finance requirements into technical configurations and functional solutions.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in SQL and VB.NET.
• Experience with REST APIs, OData services, and data integration.
• Experience integrating financial systems with SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC.
• Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) or Corporate Performance Management (CPM) solutions.
• 2+ years of hands-on OneStream experience.
• Experience integrating OneStream with SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience working in utility, energy, manufacturing, or large enterprise environments.
• OneStream certification is preferred.
