Job summary

East Greenwich Frenchtown School in Rhode Island is seeking a General Resource Teacher for a one-year position. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution.
• Rhode Island certification for Elementary Middle Special-Education Grades K-8.
• Knowledge of IEP development, differentiated instruction, and progress monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, monitor, and review IEPs in accordance with state and federal requirements.
• Provide specially designed instruction with accommodations, modifications, and assistive technology as needed.
• Assess student performance, collect and analyze data, and use results to guide instruction.
• Serve as case manager for assigned students and meet timelines, meetings, and documentation.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families to coordinate instruction.
• Support students across resource, general education, and other settings while promoting access and meaningful participation.
• Maintain an organized schedule of instructional activities, services, meetings, and case-management responsibilities.
• Provide clear, timely communication to families and educational team members regarding needs and progress.
• Direct and collaborate with paraprofessionals and other support staff.
