Summary

Under the supervision of the Director, the One & Two Year Old Teacher is responsible for implementing the education and social development of children, demonstrating patience, compassion, creativity, and a background in early childhood education. The teacher creates and maintains a positive learning environment, ensures that classroom quality meets goals and standards, and complies with day-to-day operations in accordance with state licensing.

Duties

• Provide sound, caring, and positive leadership for staff and children.
• Maintain a safe and fun environment for children.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service to parents.
• Recognize and implement safety standards in all program activities.
• Participate effectively with staff to implement creative and fun activities for students.
• Understand and demonstrate the center’s mission and values.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Have at least one year of experience in early childhood programs.
• Hold current CPR and First Aid certifications or obtain them within the first 90 days.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
• Respond calmly and effectively to hazardous or dangerous situations.
