Qualifications

• Passing score on the ParaPro or ParaPathways Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, assists a certified teacher with individuals or small groups of students identified as disabled under IDEA.
• Provides physical, emotional and academic support to students to maximize benefits from special education programs.
• Assists with implementing IEP goals and classroom activities as directed.
• Maintains confidentiality of student and staff information.
• Prepares instructional materials and assists with daily living tasks as needed.
• Communicates progress with the lead teacher and supports behavior management plans.
