Job summary

Virtua is seeking a One to One Observer at Burlington Hospital to provide personal constant observation of patients. This role involves supporting the healthcare team while ensuring a safe and positive environment for patients.

The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills and a High School diploma or GED, alongside completing the mandatory Observer course.

The position offers an hourly rate between $18.00 and $21.33, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package for part-time employees.

Summary

The purpose of the One to One Observer is to provide personal constant observation of a patient.

This position will also communicate with and support the healthcare team, patients and/or patient's family or significant other(s).

This position will also maintain and demonstrate high standards of professional ethics.

Position Responsibilities

• Provides constant one-to-one observation of assigned patient which includes providing a safe environment and positive interaction in a calm environment.
• Provides restraint care to patients in restraints.
• Identifies and communicates changes in patient's status to RN and responds appropriately.
• Assists in orientation of healthcare team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications / Experience Required

Must have strong communication skills.

Required Education

High School diploma or GED.

Training/Certifications/Licensure

Successful completion of Observer course or equivalent is mandatory.

Hourly Rate

$18.00 - $21.33 (actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant's experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data).
