Job summary

Arrow Child & Family Ministries seeks a One-to-One Aide to assist the Teacher in implementing IEP-driven services and to supervise a designated student in and around the classroom. The role provides leadership and a supportive presence to help the student progress toward personal goals.

The position emphasizes maintaining safety, documenting progress, and collaborating with the Treatment Team to sustain a positive school culture, with occasional transportation and community activities as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience working with children and families, preferably in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe learning environment in line with school policies.
• Supervise and manage student behavior in classroom, school, and school-sponsored events.
• Provide a consistent supportive presence in the classroom.
• Escort assigned students to all activities as indicated by the IEP.
• Provide individualized instruction and support to an assigned student or small group.
• Use various teaching strategies to promote progress for the student(s).
• Create an individualized learning environment and support personal independence.
• Assist in documenting student progress, attendance, performance, and behavior data.
• May assist with transport to/from school and activities.
• May participate in community-based activities with students.
• Be an active member of the Treatment Team and communicate information in writing and verbally.
• Contribute to a positive school culture and uphold safety and security.
• Attend trainings and meetings as required.
• Share the mission and vision of Arrow Child & Family Ministries with staff, students, and families.
• Review client files quarterly to assess service plan implementation and future needs.
• Perform duties in accordance with contract, state/federal regulations, and agency standards.
• May drive vehicles and complete company vehicle training.
