Job summary

EDSI is seeking a One-Stop Operator in New Jersey to coordinate the Middlesex American Job Center’s operations, ensuring integrated service delivery across workforce partners and driving performance. You will lead staff and co-located partners, oversee policies and MOUs, and promote community outreach, customer service, and continuous improvement in line with federal, state, and local workforce strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and related computer systems.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate all functions and daily operations of the One-Stop Center site in alignment with federal, state, and local workforce strategic plans.
  • Provide vision, leadership, and functional supervision to staff and co-located partner agencies to ensure integrated, high-quality service delivery.
  • Lead partner meetings and One-Stop committee meetings to address operational and service delivery needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local workforce regulations, policies, and certification requirements.

Job Description:One-Stop OperatorExemptSALARY: $70,000/YearScope of Position: Ensure seamless coordination of workforce services across Middlesex American Job Center, overseeing operational efficiency, partner collaboration, and compliance with workforce system requirements. Responsible for Partner Engagement, Policies and Procedures, Performance, Professional Development, and Public Branding. Ensure the efficient, effective, and fully integrated delivery of workforce services through collaboration with mandated partners, funding streams, and community stakeholders. Responsible for directing and coordinating all functions and operations of the One-Stop Center in alignment with federal, state, and local workforce development strategies. Provide leadership, oversight, and strategic direction to staff and partner agencies. Promote seamless service delivery to jobseekers, businesses, and community partners. Function as a key liaison to the fiscal agent and partner organizations while maintaining high standards of customer service, operational excellence, and performance accountability.Essential Functions:Direct and coordinate all functions and daily operations of the One-Stop Center site in alignment with federal, state, and local workforce strategic plansProvide vision, leadership, and functional supervision to staff and co-located partner agencies to ensure integrated, high-quality service deliveryPromote cross-functional teams across funding streams, collective bargaining agreements, and governmental regulationsProvide recommendations to improve referrals, enrollments, and service delivery through best practices and continuous improvement initiativesParticipate in local, regional, and statewide workforce system workgroupsEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with WIOA, TANF, and other mandated partners, as well as community organizations, elected officials, employers, unions, educators, and public/private agenciesCoordinate and lead partner meetings and One-Stop committee meetings to address operational and service delivery needsSupport development and implementation of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and Infrastructure Funding Agreements (IFAs)Lead employer engagement and business services initiatives to meet local workforce and economic development needsParticipate in public relations activities and community outreach to promote awareness and utilization of One-Stop Center servicesManage and monitor customer experience initiatives, surveys, and feedback to inform decision-makingDevelop ongoing professional development programs for staff based on need and feedbackEstablish and enforce operational policies related to office hours, confidentiality, health and safety and emergency preparednessEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local workforce regulations, policies, and certification requirementsOther opportunities as availableEducation and Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experienceDemonstrated experience managing people, facilities, and multi-partner environmentsExperience building and sustaining partnerships and coalitions across diverse stakeholder groupsStrong leadership skills with the ability to operate effectively in complex, multi-stakeholder environments with evolving prioritiesExcellent communication, presentation, analytical, and interpersonal skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and related computer systemsValid driver’s license and vehicle are requiredEDSI is an equal opportunity employer.
