Job summary

Houston Christian University is seeking a Financial Services Customer Service Coordinator to guide students and families through the financial aid and student account processes. The role emphasizes exceptional service, policy clarity, and proactive communication both in-person and online.

The successful candidate will advise on aid eligibility, disbursement timelines, and billing options while supervising student workers and coordinating with campus partners to improve reporting and service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in Financial Aid/Student Accounts is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with student information systems, databases, and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary advisor for financial aid, billing, and payments for students and families.
• Explain university policies related to financial aid and student accounts.
• Counsel students and families in-person and virtually; respond to inquiries promptly.
• Assist with inbound mail and document tracking; support outbound campaigns.
• Supervise and train student workers in the financial services area.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve reporting and processes.
